Since the war on Ukraine this country has become the centre of attention. Millions of Ukrainians have fled the war and found refuge in other countries. The Arqus Alliance universities have responded to the crisis and are committed to welcoming and supporting students and academics from Ukraine.
This interactive workshop offered by the University of Graz aims to provide an initial introduction to the Ukrainian language in its key linguistic and sociolinguistic aspects. The participants will also be introduced to the Ukrainian Cyrillic alphabet as well as the key facts of Ukrainian geography and cultural history.
There are no prerequisites for this course, but participants are asked to join in with their microphone and computer camera on. The workshop aims at all interested academic and administrative staff members of the Arqus Alliance partner universities. The workshop leaders are Svitlana Antonyuk, PhD, and Dr. Mariya Donska from the Institute of Slavic Studies of the University of Graz.
