DO YOU SUSPECT CORONAVIRUS – WHAT TO DO? (STEP BY STEP)
Are you a student, a Ph.D. student or employee of UWr and do your symptoms suggest that you might have Covid-19 or have had contact with a person you found out to have Covid-19? Here is what you should do:
- Do not come to the university, do not go to the clinic or to the emergency department (SOR).
- Call your GP. Do not call the ED (SOR) or the Sanitary Department. Call your doctor (if you do not have a GP, call the Medical Centre at 24 Łowiecka Street: +48 71 7117497).
- Tell him about your situation – symptoms or people you had contact with. He will decide what to do next.
- Your primary care doctor (your GP) will refer you to a covid test and tell you where to take it. Perhaps he will recommend a different course of action. He might prescribe medication, write you a sick note or recommend you to stay at home. If you already have serious symptoms – e.g. shortness of breath, a fever that is difficult to bring down: call the ambulance or take safe (not public) transport to the nearest Emergency Department (SOR), e.g. to the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Wrocław (5 Koszarowa Street).
If you are diagnosed with covid-19 or your coronavirus test was positive – please report it to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will take care of informing your dean’s office, students and colleagues.
