Language courses
We invite you to take advantage of the offer of paid language courses organised by the University of Wrocław.
STUDY OF INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING (ENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTRE) – organised courses on general and academic use of English intended for academic staff and all interested. Courses at each level last for two semesters and comprise between 60 and 180 class hours
FOREIGN LANGUAGES CENTRE – offers courses in English, French, Spanish, German, and Russian. Language courses for teenagers are also provided.
INSTITUTE OF GERMAN STUDIES – runs German language courses at all levels. Offers i.e., courses in specialised language to prepare for the TELC exam, matriculation, and conversations. IFG is an accredited TLC testing center
SCHOOL OF ANCIENT AND ORIENTAL LANGUAGES – organises courses in all 11 languages: Japanese, Arabic, modern Greek, Hindi, Korean, Turkish, Croatian, Hebrew, old Greek. Classes are taught by the Staff of the Faculty of Letters of the UWr and the native speakers. Language learning is enriched with short lectures on culture, history, literature and religion of those countries where the language is used
CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE – Provides Chinese language courses at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. Classes are taught by native speakers. Courses are also available in intensive, weekend, and holiday modes
CHAIR OF DUTCH STUDIES – provides Dutch courses for beginner and intermediate languages. Classes are held in the evenings twice a week. Students have the opportunity to take the Dutch language certification exam (Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal)
SCHOOL OF THE POLISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE FOR FOREIGNERS – offers courses in the Polish language and culture in various forms: among others, annual, semester, two-week courses preparing for studies, intensive summer holidays, and on request
