Faculty od social sciences
It is one of the largest university departments. It comprises: Institute of Political Science, Institute of International Studies, Institute of Sociology, Institute of Philosophy, as well as the Chair of Logic and Methodology of Science and the Chair of European Studies. It has a modern curriculum offer and currently offers degree programmes in the following fields: philosophy, sociology, social work, sociology of dispositional groups, political science, economic sociology, migration management, international relations, European studies, European diplomacy, state security management, social project management, national security and international security. In addition, the Faculty offers first-cycle and second-cycle education in English in: Political Science, International Relations (Global Studies), Sociology (Intercultural Mediation) and European Studies (EU Regional Policy). In the field of International Relations, students can also pursue a Double Degree Programme, in which participation guarantees the acquisition of two diplomas: University of Wrocław and University of Padua. The best students have the opportunity to take advantage of the MOST programme, to go to foreign universities within the Erasmus+ programme and to participate in Interdepartmental Individual Studies in the Humanities. More than a dozen scientific associations are active here. The Faculty offers the possibility to continue studies at doctoral studies, to participate in numerous research projects and scientific conferences.
