The conference concentrated on the current possibilities and limitations of medicine, genetics, forensic toxicology and entomology, and related sciences.
The audience consisted of prosecutors from Provincial Public Prosecutor’s Offices in Lower Silesia and adjacent voivodships, as well as various regions of Poland. The conference was attended by academics from the University of Wrocław: DSc Marcin Kadej, Prof. of the University of Wrocław – Head of the Forensic Biology and Entomology Laboratory of the University of Wrocław, who delivered a lecture on “Forensic-entomological expertise in prosecution proceedings” and DSc Maciej Trzciński, Prof. of the University of Wrocław – Head of the Department of Forensic Science of the University of Wrocław, who discussed the issue of ” Body searching in the prosecution practice”. Both lectures were of great interest to the audience.
The organisers confirmed their willingness for further training with our experts in the future. Such actions are a result of the cooperation of the Heads of the aforementioned laboratories within the structures of the University of Wrocław with the Wroclaw Medical University. The co-speaker of the lecture on Forensic Entomology was JSD Paweł Leśniewski from the Stanislaw Staszic State University of Applied Sciences in Piła (Department of Forensic Science), which the Forensic Biology and Entomology Laboratory of the University of Wrocław cooperates with since 2020.
