Olga Tokarczuk on board the University of Wrocław
Olga Tokarczuk has chosen the University of Wrocław as the location of her Ex-centre. She will also be a “university employee” – a tiutor who will guide selected students during their stay at the university.
On Friday, 2 July, in the building of the Faculty of Philology, the University of Wrocław signed an agreement with the Olga Tokarczuk Foundation on the establishment of the Academic Research Centre. Ex-Centre of Olga Tokarczuk.
The basic tasks and objectives to be pursued by the Centre will include: Supporting research on topics present in the works of our Nobel Prize winner, research on the works of Olga Tokarczuk, its reception, translation and dissemination of knowledge acquired in the course of these analyses, organisation of scientific and cultural events, scientific conferences and congresses, creation of platforms connecting researchers, authors, translators and cultural animators, individual education in the master-student formula, building cycles of master courses and lectures, acquisition and implementation of scientific and research grants and funds earmarked for cultural activities.
We will soon tell you about the Olga Tokarczuk Ex-Centre in more detail, and in the meantime we have for you photos from signing of the agreement!
We are grateful to the Olga Tokarczuk Foundation and the Nobel Prize winner herself for choosing our university as their Ex-Centre! It is a great honour and distinction for us, and we will do our best to ensure that the cooperation goes smoothly. Mrs. Tokarczuk, Foundation, welcome on board!
