The turn of the 20th and 21st century is a time of dynamic changes, also in science and education systems.
We are very well aware of the fact that only quick reaction to new ideas facilitates the development of the University and the affiliated people. That’s why we keep an eye on things. We verify adopted assumptions. We listen intently to needs and expectations of our future students. We evaluate the performance of our employees and mobilise them to constantly sharpen their skills, so that they are able to effectively pass on their knowledge and experience.
The fact that we have made quality of education and its improvement one of the most relevant points of our „Development Strategy of the University of Wrocław 2013-2020” reflects how crucial this subject is to us. On the basis of the University System for Education Quality Assurance established in 2011 and recommendations of the European Assocciation for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) we have developed standards in force both at faculty and general level.
Quality of education also entails adequately preparing students for professional life. Curricula of selected fields are consulted with regional employers in order to successfully combine theory with practice. Our efforts in this area have been appreciated not only by graduates, who have easier time finding employment, but also external organisations which regularly reward our programmes, e.g. with prestigious certificates issued by the Foundation for the Development of School and Higher Education: Studies with a Future and Leader in Education Quality (quality assurance was awarded to, among others, Applied Computer Science and Measuring Systems, Chemistry and Web and Digital Publishing).
