Recruitment for ESA scientific mission concepts – informative meeting
The Polish Space Agency would like to inform that the Director of Science of the ESA has launched the recruitment process for concepts of new scientific missions. This process aims to select new missions to answer relevant scientific questions and is aimed at the research community and scientific and industrial consortia based in ESA Member States. Proposals can be made both for “Fast” missions (to be dispatched within the 2030-2031 timeframe, with a total budget of € 175M) and for “Medium” missions (with an estimated launch year around 2037 and a total budget of € 550M) .
The concepts for the proposed missions may be in line with the ESA Voyage 2050 plan and be directed to any other scientific areas. The process of selecting a mission concept will consist of two stages. The deadline for submitting proposals for the first stage is 14 February this year. The application for the first stage includes the preparation of a 10-page document and does not require a financial commitment.
We encourage you to attend the ESA informative meeting taking place on 13 January. You can sign up for the meeting until 11 January, 12:00. Registration is possible by completing the application on the Briefing meeting – Call for missions 2021 – Cosmos (esa.int) website.
More information about the recruitment can be found at Home – Call for missions 2021 – Cosmos (esa.int).
