THE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS STARTING

Wrocław Academic Center invites you to apply for the next edition of the Student Scholarship Program for students and doctoral students. Recruitment starts on June 1 and will last until the end of the month.

The Student Scholarship Program is implemented – on the initiative of the Mayor of Wrocław – by the Wrocław Academic Center, and the scholarships are financed by the Municipality of Wrocław.

PhD students 

Scholarships may be applied for by PhD students who study in Wrocław at third-cycle studies at public and private universities or research institutions, conducting doctoral studies in Wrocław – who have outstanding achievements in areas important for the development of our city. The main criterion for obtaining a scholarship are achievements in the fields of knowledge corresponding to one of the six scholarship categories:

– Ludwik Hirszfeld scholarship – in the field of biological and medical sciences

– Hugo Steinhaus scholarship – in the field of mathematical sciences

– Max Born scholarship – in the field of physical and chemical sciences

-Jerzy Grotowski scholarship – in the field of art

– Jan Mozrzymas scholarship – in the field of interdisciplinary research

– Wincenty Styś scholarhip – in the field of social sciences and humanities.

Applicant PhD students are asked to complete the online application via the web application.

All documents are available on the website of the Wrocław Academic Center.  The deadline for registration and filling in applications is June 30, 2021.

STUDENTS 

The scholarship is open to students of the third year and years of higher studies of uniform master’s studies, third year and years of higher studies of first degree and second-degree studies, studying in the full-time system at public and private universities, who have obtained the right to study at foreign universities.

The deadline is June 30, 2021.

Applications are assessed by the scholarship commission appointed by the President’s order. The average grade for the last completed semester of study and the presentation sent by the applicant are taken into account.  The amount of the scholarship is PLN 500 per month and may be collected for a maximum of 9 months.

Scholarship beneficiaries gain new, valuable experience and knowledge at foreign universities, which they will use in the course of their further studies. Departures take place within the framework of international exchange programs and partnership agreements signed between universities.
