The Light Garden is back! Botanical Garden of the University of Wrocław as from a dream!

From 3 December, the University of Wrocław invites to the Botanical Garden. The attraction of last autumn and winter is coming back and you can feel like in a fairy-tale world of your childhood and mysterious Light Garden.

It’s a new edition and there are more lights than a year ago. Take a look at the map:

Once again, the Botanical Garden will be illuminated with an extraordinary array of coloured lights and will be open to residents and visitors of Wrocław in winter.

This time, the illumination is the result of long and intensive work on the permanent illumination project. It will cover a much larger part of the Garden than last year and has been designed in a way that does not disturb the rhythm of plant and animal life and respects the natural environment.

Compared to previous years, the illumination has been enriched with numerous spectacular shows combining the beauty of nature with the latest technological achievements. The light show called Light Garden will be accompanied by laser shows. The body of the Collegiate Church of the Holy Cross and St. Bartholomew will become the canvas for a colourful laser show, and new etudes of spatial laser shows have been developed. An extraordinary attraction will be a unique and breathtaking 3D videomapping show on miniature architectural monuments from Poland and the world. The miniatures have been prepared by a team of technicians and modelers in 3D printing technology. The most interesting animations produced over the last 10 years will be presented by the precursors of videomapping in Poland, the Clockwork group of artists, which has already produced nearly 100 such performances and won many international awards in competitions for multimedia projects.

To facilitate access to the shows, there will be two entrances to the Botanical Garden from ul. Sienkiewicza and ul. Kanonia. Online ticket sales have also been launched. Detailed schedule and on the FB profile of the Botanical Garden.

We invite all those who wish to see the Botanical Garden in subtle illumination and experience interesting shows from 17.00-21.00 at weekends.
