Vaccinations – change the place where the vaccine is to be given!

An employee-student vaccination campaign is underway at the University of Wrocław. Last week, these took place at the University Library. The number of infected people requiring hospitalisation is growing by the day. For safety reasons, the vaccinations in the Library were secured by an ambulance from the University Clinical Hospital. In order not to block it, we decided, together with the University Clinical Hospital, to invite employees and students registered for vaccinations at the University Library to the University Hospital at Skłodowska-Curie Street. All those with appointments have just received text messages with a change in the location of the vaccination venue. We are very sorry for this sudden change for students and staff, but it is clear to us that the priority is to save lives and health.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Medical University of Wrocław and the University Clinical Hospital in Wrocław, we can continue the spring action of company vaccinations. Approximately 600 employees, who were vaccinated with the second dose at the end of May and the beginning of June, will receive a booster dose. Other groups will be vaccinated in the following weeks, as six months have passed since their last vaccination.

We encourage people to get vaccinated, and the participation of lecturers and doctoral students in the spring vaccination campaign (about 85%), as well as a large group of vaccinated students. As a result, today there are relatively few infections at the University of Wrocław, and – which is most important – there are no epidemic outbreaks among students and lecturers, as well as in the dormitories, i.e. we do not get infected among each other in the workplace and in the university.

This is a chance for us to remain, at least partially, in the mode of stationary education for as long as possible. Today, lectures at the University of Wrocław take place remotely, while practical classes are conducted stationary – mostly in classrooms and laboratories, with maximum precautions.

If for some reason you are unable to take your third dose (for example, because it has not been 180 days since your last vaccination despite receiving an invitation, or you are not fully healthy) – please write an email to We will find you another vaccination time.
