The Department of Criminal Procedure of the WPAiE encourages you to submit applications for participation in the webinar organized by the European University Institute in Florence on the procedural rights of the suspect and the defendant in criminal proceedings and in proceedings related to the issuance/execution of the European Arrest Warrant.

The webinar will be conducted by experts participating in the CrossJustice project (information about the project is available at:, and the purpose of the meeting is to deepen the knowledge on the implementation of directives on procedural rights of suspects and defendants (Directives on the right of access to a lawyer (2013/48) and legal aid (2016/1919), the right to information in criminal proceedings (2012/13), strengthening the guarantee of the presumption of innocence and participation in a trial (2016/343), the right to interpretation and translation (2010/64) and the procedural rights of a child – accused in a criminal trial (2016/800)) in EU countries, including: Italy, Spain, Croatia, Belgium, the Netherlands or Poland.
